Fahrenheit is Charlotte’s latest craze with it’s fancy rooftop restaurant. You have incredible views of the skyline, making for the perfect photo-op before or after dinner (you’ll want to sit down and actually enjoy their creativity during dinner!).
Chef Rocco Whalen has some creative ideas when it comes to food, but also knows when to scale back the tastes so that you can enjoy the natural flavor of certain dishes. Fahrenheit is more of an upscale restaurant and not your “any night of the week” place; although, I could see how one could become a regular here with all of the exciting options.
It’s hard to pass up a chance at oysters. These were smaller than I would have liked (especially for the $) but they were tasty. If you’re looking for oysters in Charlotte, these are definitely worth trying (Growlers Pourhouse still has the best ones in Charlotte!).
The Ahi Tuna was amazing and my husband cleared his plate in a matter of minutes. As you can see, the presentation is spectacular.
I’m more of a scallops gal, and you can’t really go wrong with these delightful shellfish. The flavors were magnificent and the portion was just right.
Luckily, we went on a night when the sky was showing off, so we had some pretty amazing views. It’s worth requesting a seat by the windows (not the wall) if you’re making a reservation. Overall, the experience was wonderful and we’ll definitely head back for another evening at the top of
the world Charlotte.
If you’re interested in giving Fahrenheit a shot, check out their Restaurant Week Menu, but hurry up, time’s almost out!
Great views and delicious food!
